A question I am often asked is, how does the Clareblend Mini compare to Nuface and Myolift? Here’s my professional opinion based on my experience.
In case you’re not familiar, microcurrent is a gentle muscle toning device that runs a tiny electrical current between two wands that are pressed against the skin. The process is similar to your body’s bio-electric current. The current is much too low to electrocute you. It is perfectly safe.
The microcurrent device stimulates at a cellular level ATP (Adenosine Tri-Phosphate) activity. ATP controls muscle contraction, protein synthesis, and muscle re-education. Muscle re-education is the process of lengthening or shortening muscles that lift the skin and create toned muscles and relaxed skin. Relaxed skin will feel smoother and look younger. Not only will you be able to achieve a more natural contoured look and tighten saggy skin, but you will also feel pampered by the gentle massage while using the device.
As we compare the Clareblend Mini to Nuface, I want to clarify it is an apple to oranges comparison – not an apple to apples comparison. What I mean by that is, the Nuface runs on the same frequency over and over. It is like going to the gym and doing the same workout over and over. This kind of workout causes the muscles to acclimate. Allow me to explain further. The Nuface runs at 400 microamps with a set frequency. In other words, the Nuface has a constant frequency that is not varied and stays the same. It is like putting you on a constant (no rest) and identical workout routine at the gym. You might see a little bit of change at first (if you can even make it through the routine without exhaustion) but once you adjust to the routine, it no longer produces results. You get muscle acclimation – and in some cases muscle fatigue resulting in counterproductive results.
Also, the Nuface runs on a voltage in which you will feel a lot of zapping on your face from its current. Many do not use it due to the zapping (called “sparking” in the microcurrent community). If you dread using a device, if it is not pleasant, you will NOT use it. Devices do not work unless you use them.
The Clareblend Mini runs at 340 microamps and has a variable frequency. The Clareblend Mini’s multiple random frequency modulations aid in an improved lift. This means you cannot cause muscle fatigue and you can achieve longer-lasting results. Some begin to see results within a couple of weeks and with proper ongoing use, improvement will continue.
The NuFace says to use it daily for 60 days before judging results. That’s a lot of treatments! Who has time to wait 60 days for results?
You only have to use the Clareblend Mini 2-3 times per week during the building phase, then 1 to 2 times per week in maintenance, depending on age and health. Additionally, the Clareblend Mini design is very light and the wands on the handheld device feel pleasant to use. They also allow you to get in the nooks and crannies of your face. Contrarily, the awkward, two-big ball design of the Nuface makes it difficult to get a detailed lift of the face.
The Clareblend Mini runs on a low-voltage circuit for the delivery of smooth current. You will never experience zapping. It will conduct with water or water-based products but I love using CBE Botanicals Conducting Gel and Mask for the additional nourishment to the skin and easier gliding. The beeping system indicates it is conducting and guides you for the lift and hold technique. It comes with printed instructions.
Now, let’s talk about the Myolift. Again, this is not an apples-to-apples comparison. It’s more like an apple to an apple tree. Right off the bat, you have to decide which of the 9 programmable amps (up to 400 microamps) is right for you. It is a microcurrent, unlike the galvanic (constant) current of the Nuface. However, having to figure out what current to use is confusing since you haven’t gone to esthetician school to learn this. The placement of the wands is important. You will have to learn the correct placement for the best results. Therefore, the learning curve on this machine can be complicated. Improper use can have counter-productive results. The Clareblend Mini, on the other hand, is simple. Plug it in and move it over the areas you want to improve per the supplied printed instructions. It couldn’t be easier.
The Myolift when used at the higher levels, can result in a zapping, especially if you’re not using lots of products on the probes or if your skin is dehydrated. Myolift recommends using the device once in a 24-hour period, for 5-20 minutes per treatment. For the first 60 days, they recommend using it once-three times a week for one month. Then monthly/bi-monthly for ongoing maintenance.
So, in my humble opinion, it comes down to this…
How simple do you want your home microcurrent treatment to be? Nothing could be simpler than using the Clareblend Mini.
You will have a longer learning curve with the Myolift and it doesn’t travel well.
Do you want to risk muscle fatigue and adverse results using Nuface?
The Clareblend Mini is safe, effective, easy to use, travels well, and is the perfect amount of microcurrent and a leading home-use microcurrent device. It is so effective, I use it in my studio. An easy decision in my professional opinion.

Trying to keep our skin healthy and glowing is a lifelong process. It protects us, shields us, and defines us in a lot of ways! But every layer of the skin acts as our armor in a different way. On the very top, we all have a "skin barrier" that requires its own care for long-term health.
